To whom this may concern: We have worked with Shelley Cohen for the past several months in search of our dream home in the Desert and she was A+ perfect.
We have purchased and sold 7 homes in the past and without a doubt, Shelly was the best Realtor we have ever experienced. We met Shelley when we were touring at one of her open houses, and from that moment on she went above and beyond. That first day she made arrangements for us to see another home (not her listing) and even picked us up at our hotel to view it … and view it again the following day. Very quickly we knew that she needed to be “Our Realtor” and help us with our search. She knows the Desert area better than anyone, which was especially important to us as we were relying on her to help us from long distance. Shelley kept us informed on any new listings that she thought may be an option for us, yet did not push properties that were her listings or more expensive than our budget. She represented us long distance and toured homes we thought we may be interested in. She even took (narrated) videos of those homes we thought may be possibilities. She knew us so well, that she paid attention to all of the things that she knew would be important to us. For example, there was a seemingly perfect home for us with a fantastic view that we thought was “it”, however when she viewed it she noticed that the sound of the freeway and train were very noticeable and would not be what we desired in a vacation home. She even asked the neighbors about the noise. Instead of making a quick sale, she steered us away from it because having happy clients is Shelley’s #1 priority. We ended up in that first home that we saw on day #1 when Shelley picked us up at the hotel, but it was only after Shelley’s active searching, patience with us, and supreme negotiation skills that we got that home. She was our “feet on the ground” when we could not be there and represented us better than we could have represented ourselves. After the purchase, she did not disappear but instead was there to attend all the inspections in our absence and even get our keys upon closing. When we were able to move in, Shelley welcomed us with hugs and champagne. She has become more than our Realtor, as she is a true friend. It has been a month since we closed and she still checks in on us and is there for whatever silly questions that “out-of-towners” may have … favorite restaurants, grocery stores, local contractors, etc. In short, Shelley Cohen is the Best Realtor in the Desert!
